(Audio): Kumawu decides; North Tongu MP explains what it will mean for NDC to win the seat

Member of Parliament for the North Tongu constituency in the Volta region Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has explained what it will mean should the opposition takes charge of the legislature (parliament) whiles the executive exists.

Speaking in an interview monitored by Ahotor Fm, the Ranking Member on Foreign Affairs Committee in Parliament said, it will be historic since such has never happened before where the executive is in the hands of a different party whiles the legislature is controlled by another party. It will also force the President to come to a consensus.

According to Hon. Ablakwa, the Executive will become more listening and also more responsive to the plight of Ghanaians. He said it will also help to alleviate the hardship.

Again, he concluded that “it will enrich our democracy and help the majority of roles where the will of the masses will be respected. It will help the president to his knees where he will be compelled to listen. It will really help our democracy”.
