Parliamentary Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Assin South constituency in the Central region, Hon Stephen Kofi Baidoo has called on the government to desist from his intention of mining in the Kakum forest.
According to him, his constituency shares boundaries with Cape Coast where the forest is located, and if such activities take place, is the people of Assin South who will face the consequences.
He said the current administration is clueless and insensitive when it comes to the pride of Ghanaians hence, mismanaging all the sectors before they leave office.
Speaking to Ahotoronline.com, Mr. Baidoo called on Ghanaians to change their hands come 2024 and vote for the umbrella party because they do it better for the people anytime they’re in government.
The NDC candidate called on all constituencies in the central region especially those who share boundaries close to the Kakum National Forest to arise and fight to protect their own.
The minerals commission cannot be trusted with their report due to previous circumstances, he said.
