Athletic Bilbao is anxiously monitoring the fitness of Ghana forward Inaki Williams ahead of their crucial Europa League match against Manchester United.

Williams was forced off with an injury in the 62nd minute of Bilbao’s goalless draw with Real Sociedad last Sunday.

Williams, who suffered muscle discomfort, missed Tuesday’s training session, raising concerns about his availability for the semifinal return fixture against Manchester United on Thursday. He was replaced by Alvaro Djalo in the match against Real Sociedad.

Athletic Bilbao needs to overcome a 3-0 deficit from the first leg to progress in the Europa League.
