Sankofa Heritage Productions (SHP) presents its Cultural festival dubbed ”Aspaatere Indigenous Festival 2023, which comes every year in December.
Sankofa Production is an indigenous company whose goal is to promote, preserve, and sustain Ghana’s rich cultural heritage through ecotourism, language and cultural exchange initiatives.
For the past few years have been making efforts to contribute positively to responsible and sustainable tourism in Ghana and beyond by promoting cultural integration, working with the local communities, mentoring young people through summer camps, ecotourism, art and language immersion programmes for schools in Ghana. We have thus taken the lead by supporting this sustainable practice
Aspaatere festival is celebrated three days in December of every year of glamour and striking display of authentic Ghanaian culture.
The Festival is set to provide a single stage where the distinctive cultural heritage of all 16 Regions of Ghana will be portrayed in detail: our delicacies, clothing, artefacts, language, history and tourism potentials to the over 10,000 in-person expectant participants and millions who will watch and follow across the world.

Aspaatere Indigenous Cultural Festival intends to target the youth, students, people from the diaspora and heritage enthusiasts. Outside this target, we intend to reach virtually everyone.
The success of Ghana’s “Year of Return” and its positive impact on the nation’s economy has increased awareness of the untapped potential of the tourism industry.
This has leveraged Ghana’s historic status. ‘Beyond the Return’s agenda seeks to build on the success of the Year of Return.
The Aspaatere Festival is to promote Ghana as the ultimate tourist destination on the continent an attractive and secure tourism market for visitors, thus presenting a good opportunity for us to increase sales and find a strategic foothold to grow globally.
