The general secretary of the GFA Mr Prosper Addo has disclosed that Ashanti Gold SC has not been banned as speculated in the media.
In an interview with Ahotor Fm, Prosper said Ashanti Gold has only been suspended and pending the court case against Football Association.
The Football administrator is distinct that
“ASH GOLD is not suspended because they took the Ghana Football Association to court but because they are dealing with football officials and personnel who are banned in the football circles around Africa which is why they are suspended or banned for the moment.
He added an example that when FIFA banned India they sent a notification to all Football nations around the globe not to have anything concerning sports and even if a second division team defies the rules and plays just a friendly match they will be banned, that is why Ashanti Gold Football Club is banned
He rested his speech with, the Ghana Football Association and is still waiting for orders from FIFA.
