
The Chief of the Ashaiman Traditional Authority, Nii Annang Adjor, has expressed deep frustration over the deteriorating road network in the community.
Speaking to Ahotor News, he lamented that Ashaiman’s roads have not received any significant facelift since 2016, making transportation difficult for residents and businesses.
He called on the government and relevant authorities to urgently address the issue to improve living conditions in the area.
Despite his grievances about infrastructure, Nii Annang Adjor commended the Ashaiman police for their efforts in reducing crime within the community.
He acknowledged their dedication in maintaining law and order, which has led to a decline in criminal activities.
Additionally, the chief urged residents of Ashaiman to respect the Traditional Authority and adhere to local customs and traditions.
He emphasized that upholding cultural values is essential for fostering unity and development within the community.
Nii Annang Adjor, has also issued a stern warning to the Ashaiman Municipal Assembly and some assembly members, cautioning them against the unauthorized release of lands belonging to the traditional authority.
He condemned the growing trend of allocating these lands to individuals for container structures without the consent of the traditional leadership.
Expressing his frustration, the chief emphasized that such actions undermine the authority of the traditional council and disrupt the orderly development of Ashaiman.
He called on those involved to immediately cease such practices and respect the ownership rights of the traditional authority.
Furthermore, Nii Annang Adjor urged the municipal assembly to work in close collaboration with the traditional leaders to drive sustainable development in Ashaiman.
He stressed that effective cooperation between local governance structures and the traditional authority is essential for proper urban planning, infrastructure improvements, and economic growth.
