Asante Kotoko to Decide Karim Zito’s Future at End of Season

Asante Kotoko’s Communications Director, Sarfo Duku, has revealed that the club will assess the future of interim coach Karim Zito after the conclusion of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

Zito took over as interim coach after Prosper Narteh Ogum was sacked due to a poor run of form.

Under Zito’s leadership, Kotoko has gone unbeaten, with the veteran coach steering the team towards a possible FA Cup trophy. The club will face Golden Kick FC in the MTN FA Cup final on June 15.

“We will do a proper assessment of their performance within this short period and take a decision that will be in the best interest of Kotoko and Ghana football,” Duku told Citi Sports.

With two games left in the season, Kotoko will play Medeama SC at home and Vision FC away.

Kotoko’s focus is also on the upcoming FA Cup final against Golden Kick FC. A win would bring silverware to the Porcupine Warriors, and Zito will be hoping to end his interim stint on a high note. The decision on his future will be made after the season’s conclusion.
