Asante Kotoko Tasks Zito with Winning Double – Sarfo Duku reveals

Asante Kotoko has tasked interim head coach Karim Zito and assistant Prince Yaw Owusu with winning the Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup.

Zito and Owusu were appointed following the dismissal of Prosper Narteh Ogum due to the team’s poor performance.

Kotoko currently sit fourth on the league log with 47 points after 28 matches, having gone four games without a win. However, they have progressed to the FA Cup semi-finals, where they’ll face Berekum Chelsea.

The club’s Communications Director, Sarfo Duku, expressed confidence in Zito’s ability to achieve the mission.

“Coach Karim Zito is not new in the system… He will have to put on course the mission that we set for ourselves, that is, winning the double.”

Zito’s first challenge will be against Aduana FC at the Baba Yara Stadium.
