Asante Kotoko Secures A Point At Temporal Home Venue

The Porcupine Warriors, Kumasi Asante Kotoko secured a point at the newly adopted Obuasi Len Clay after playing 1:1 draw game with Young Apostles.

The visitor’s Young Apostles drew first blood through Daniel Lomotey in the 51st minutes through a well rehearsed counter-attacks . Kumasi Asante Kotoko dominated possession and created several chances specially in the first half but were unable to find the equalizer.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko, however, remained resilient and managed to equalize by Emmanuel Antwi in the 71st minutes of the second half of the game.

Both teams pushed for a winner, with Kotoko piling on the pressure and creating multiple scoring opportunities but the combination of wasteful finishing and solid defending from Young Apostles kept the scoreline level.

The result came as a disappointment to Asante Kotoko, who had hoped to win their first game at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium in front of their home and travelled supporters.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko lies at 6th position with 4 points after playing 2 games , won against Karela United and drawing 1-1 with Young Apostles but have one outstanding game against Nsoatreman FC.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko will travel to Berekum to face an experienced Berekum Chelsea in their next away game .
