
Asante Kotoko Sporting Club have officially parted ways with head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, the club confirmed on Wednesday afternoon, AhotorSports can confirm.
The decision was reached amicably following a fresh 2-0 defeat to Nations FC on match day 28 of the Ghana Premier League plummeting them to fourth on the tascussions between both parties, with a mutual understanding that a change in leadership was necessary for the club’s progress at this stage of the season.
Club Statement read: “Asante Kotoko Sporting Club has this afternoon parted company with Head Coach Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum.”
“This decision was reached following constructive discussions between both parties, with a shared understanding that it is in the best interest of the club at this time.”
“We thank Coach Ogum for his dedication and service to the club, and we wish him the very best in his future endeavors.”
“We urge our supporters to remain calm and continue to support the club during this transition. Further updates will be communicated in due course.”

Ogum’s tenure with the Porcupine Warriors brought both triumph and turbulence. His standout achievement came during the 2021/22 season when he guided the club to their first Ghana Premier League title in nearly a decade.
However, recent results in the ongoing campaign have sparked concerns over the team’s form and consistency. This season, Kotoko have amassed 13 wins, 8 draws, and 7 losses in 28 matches, scoring 28 goals and conceding 21—averaging 1.68 points per game.
