Asante Kotoko Compensates Departed Coach Ogum $16K

Asante Kotoko has agreed to pay a severance package of $16,000 to former head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum following his departure from the club.

Ogum’s exit comes after a challenging second half of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

Despite struggling in the league, Ogum led the team to the semifinals of the MTN FA Cup. His departure was confirmed after a 2-0 loss to Nations FC, extending Kotoko’s winless streak to four games.

Asante Kotoko is set to appoint Abdul Karim Zito as the new head coach. Zito is expected to take charge of the team for their upcoming match against Aduana FC, aiming to guide the team back to winning form.
