Asamoah Gyan’s Testimonial Match to Inspire Future Ghanaian Footballers – Ameenu Shardow

Black Stars Team Manager Ameenu Shardow believes the planned testimonial match for Asamoah Gyan will motivate current and future national team players to give their best for Ghana.

The match, announced by the Ghana Football Association (GFA), honors Gyan’s remarkable contributions to Ghanaian football.

Shardow sees the testimonial match as a sign of Ghana’s appreciation for its heroes. “It’s extremely important because, aside from honoring a distinguished personality, it shows a nation that appreciates its heroes,” he told Joy Sports. “It encourages other players to give their best, knowing they’ll be appreciated.”

Shardow praised the GFA for organizing the match, saying, “I’m happy the GFA is taking the lead, not leaving it to private individuals.” The GFA will communicate the match date soon, celebrating Gyan’s record 51 goals in 109 appearances for the Black Stars.
