Article Wan Slams the Ghanaian Music Industry for Overlooking His Talent

Ghanaian artist Article Wan, born Bright Homenya, has expressed his frustration over being sidelined in the local music scene despite his undeniable skills.

In his recent interview, the singer accused the industry of neglecting his contributions and talent, lamenting that he is not being given the recognition he deserves.

“I don’t need to boast, but you can go and do your research. When I take the stage, it’s a whole different vibe. You can put me on any stage, anywhere in the world, and the magic will still be there, even if they don’t know my songs,” he shared. “The issue is Ghana refuses to push me. The country is sitting on my talent, and it’s truly disappointing.”

Article Wan called on both fans and key figures in the industry to recognize his potential and offer the necessary support for him to reach greater heights in his career.

“I have something valuable, but I can’t push it out on my own. I need everyone’s support, but some big names in the industry have been ignoring me, and that’s not right. We all do the same work, but there are people with the power and structure to help get things right and take it to the next level,” he explained.

He also discussed the struggles faced by artists who don’t have the backing of influential industry players, stressing that it’s often harder for those outside the favored circles to succeed.

“In everything, people have their favorites. If you’re not part of the ‘in’ crowd, you’ll always be their second choice. This has led to a lot of talented artists struggling to get their work out there,” he added.

His comments have sparked debates within the music community, with many calling for a more inclusive approach to promoting homegrown talent like Article Wan.
