The President of the Ghana Arm Wrestling Federation, Charles Osei Asibbey, has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to begin early preparations for the 2027 African Games, urging the government to invest in the development of arm wrestling infrastructure.
On a courtesy visit paid at the Presidency at Jubilee house , Charles Asibbey emphasized the need for specialized resource centers to be built across the country to promote and nurture arm wrestling talents. He believes these centers will strengthen Ghana’s position in arm wrestling ahead of the African Games, and pointed out that with the 2027 African Games is crucial and requires early preparations .
Arm-Wrestling President Charles Asibbey urged the government to acknowledge arm wrestling as a key sport in Ghana’s sports development agenda, emphasizing that early investment and planning will boost the country’s chances of success at the 2027 African Games.
Ghana Arm-Wrestling secured 41 medals out of 69 total medals won by team Ghana in the 13th African games and have gain recognition with series of medals in the African continent .
