Bukom Banku Ghanaian boxer Bukom Banku has expressed his preference for the upcoming December 7 general election, sharing his hopes during an interview on Asempa FM, as reported by Ghpage.com.
The former media personality is confident that despite the tough competition, former president and NDC flag bearer John Mahama will secure victory.
Bukom revealed his aspirations, stating that he would like to assume the position of Inspector General of Police (IGP) if Mahama triumphs in the election, even though he acknowledges his lack of experience for the role.
He remarked, “Prophets have been making various predictions about who will win the 2024 general elections. I firmly believe Mahama will come out on top, and I hope he wins so I can be appointed as IGP.” Bukom emphasized that the position doesn’t require extensive paperwork.
He stated, “The main goal is to maintain peace in the nation. With me as IGP, there would be no chaos and a better sense of order. Just because I haven’t had any police experience doesn’t mean I’m unqualified for the role.”
