Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu, has hinted that the NDC anticipates a repeat of the Assin North by-election outcome in the Asawase constituency in the upcoming December 7 general elections.
Speaking at the NDC’s campaign launch in Asawase, Ablakwa urged voters to accept any money the NPP offers, as he claimed its taxpayer money. However, he encouraged them to vote with their conscience.
“Take whatever they bring, but vote massively against them,” he told the crowd, criticizing the NPP for what he described as a lack of development in the Ashanti Region despite its status as the party’s stronghold.
Ablakwa called on the people of Asawase to remember the contributions of their current MP, Hon. Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, and urged them to support both Muntaka and NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama.
