The judiciary has reaffirmed its commitment to promptly resolve election-related cases before, during, and after the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
This assurance was given by the Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Justice Gertrude Sackey Torkornoo, during a dialogue session with the Christian Council of Ghana in Accra.
She was accompanied by members of the Judiciary’s Elections Management Committee, chaired by His Lordship Paul Baffoe Bonnie, and the Judicial Secretary, Her Ladyship Justice Cyra Pamela C.A. Koranteng.
The judiciary’s readiness will be guided by the 5th edition of the Manual on Election Adjudication, set to be launched soon.
Additionally, nationwide training has been conducted to prepare judges to handle election disputes efficiently.
The judiciary remains focused on ensuring a fair and credible electoral process, bolstered by enhanced training, public sensitization, and stakeholder engagement.
