I Need Quality In My Team – Black Stars Coach Otto Addo Expresses
The head coach of the Black Stars Otto Addo has defended his selecting of the national team squad ahead of the Afcon qualifier games against Angola and Niger.
Addressing the media at the GFA conference Hall after announcing his squad, coach Otto Addo emphasized that he is committed to ensure quality in every position of his team, stressing that maintaining a high standard is his top priority.
“The selection process was incredibly tough, There are so many talented players vying for a spot in the team, and it’s never easy to leave anyone out. However, my focus is on bringing together the best players who can deliver on the pitch. As a coach , am mandated to select only 23 players and these squad have I selected “-
The Black Stars players will start arriving in the country by Monday after all have played in their respective leagues.
The Black Stars will hold its first training sessions at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday which is open to the media for interactions before departing to Kumasi to continue their preparation and the match proper on 5th September, 2024
Black Stars plays its third game in the 2025 Afcon qualifiers against Angola before traveling to face Niger.
