The National Democratic Congress (NDC) last week Saturday presented to Ghanaians a menifesto of hope designed to address changes and reset Ghana from its current economic difficulties .
The menifesto vision is to create jobs, bring justice, good governance and joy to every corner of the nation.
The solution oriented document is achievable, measurable and people centered Manifesto outlines measures and policies well crafted to ensure value for money in the utilization of the country’s resources in a transparent environment.
The Manifesto also marks a new dawn in Ghana of transformation with a proven track record of President John Dramani Mahama in key sectors of the nation from
health, education, Agriculture, Infrastructure, Good Governance, social policies, freedom of speech, justice among others.
In his address, the flag bearer of the NDC, President John Dramani Mahama pledged his commitment to serve the people of Ghana in humility, accountable for his stewardship , firm and fair, create opportunities,operate an inclusion government, show respect to everyone and help to maximize individual potentials.
The development of the nation he stressed will be his prime consideration to address huge deficts. .
The Manifesto highlights areas of Reseting the Economy for Prosperity- National Economy Dailaogue on National Development Plan, scrapping obnoxious taxes.
Alleviating the current economic stress – No academic fees for First Year University Students, First Tertiary Education for all PWDs.Free sanitary pads to all girls in school. Uncap the NHIL. Implementation of Free Primary Health Care. Expansion of Health Infrastructure for recruitment of health professionals. Establishment of a State-of-the Art Specialist Children Hispital. Establishment of National Fertility Centre. Establishment of Modern Dialysis Centres in Regional Hospital that doesn’t have.

- Free technical and Vocational School and establish more schools and provision of capital for graduates to set up their own businesses
- Business Development – Exemption of new SMEs from payment of corporate and Personal Income Tax for 2 years

- Commercialization of Okada Business.
- MO-NE-YO Pension Scheme for informal sector workers
- Implementation of the One Million Coders’ Program.
- Expansion of automotive and vehicle assembly sector
- Establishment of Regional Agro Industrial Zones
- Construction of 20 Feed Processing plant
- Establishment of Farmers Service Centres in all Agriculture Areas in Ghana
- Reducing the size of Government to 60 ministers
- Ruthless War against Corruption – Operation Recover All(ORAL)
- Re-open investigations into major unresolved cases
- Improve free SHS, and cancel the double track system.
- Bed-for-all programs in universities. Partnership with private businesses to construct hostels for students
- Abolishment of Teacher Licensure Exams and establishment of Teacher ‘Dabr3’ Program- Provision of Accommodation into every new school for teachers.
- Establishment of a new railway system on a Build and Operate Policy.
- Establish Mining Co-operatives in all mining districts and a Gold Board
- Ban issuance of minning licences in Forest Reserves
