Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has characterized the party’s manifesto launch as a pivotal event that will mark a turning point for Ghana, steering the nation away from what he describes as the current economic and financial mismanagement.
Speaking from the launch venue at the University of Education, Winneba, Sammy Gyamfi asserted that the NDC’s manifesto is designed to offer a clear and truthful alternative to the governing New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) policies.
He accused the NPP’s manifesto of being filled with falsehoods and empty promises, highlighting that the NDC’s vision is rooted in practical solutions aimed at resetting the country on a path of sustainable growth and development.
Responding to allegations that the NDC had plagiarized elements of the NPP’s manifesto, which was launched in Takoradi on Sunday, August 18, Gyamfi firmly denied the claims. He assured the public that the NDC’s manifesto would clearly demonstrate the difference between the two parties, both in content and in integrity. “In a matter of minutes, you will see the distinction between the NDC and the NPP. Today, we are separating the area boys from the men, and truth from lies,” Gyamfi declared.
Adding to the criticism, a visually impaired supporter of the NDC questioned the credibility of NPP’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and the feasibility of his promises to the Ghanaian people, suggesting that the NPP’s leadership lacks the trustworthiness needed to lead the nation effectively.
The event underscored the NDC’s commitment to presenting itself as a credible alternative in the upcoming elections, aiming to address the pressing economic challenges facing Ghana.
