Running mate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has embarked on a tour of several markets in Accra as part of her campaign efforts.
Her first stop was the Mallam Atta Market in the Ayawaso Central Constituency, where she interacted with traders, commercial drivers, and head porters (Kayayei).
During these interactions, she highlighted the NDC’s women-centred policies, including the proposed establishment of a Women’s Development Bank.
The Women’s Bank aims to cater for the financial needs of women in business, recognising their significant contribution to the economy.
The proposal which is part of the NDC’s broader strategy to support female entrepreneurs and business owners aims to boost economic opportunities and financial stability for women across the country.
