The President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Simeon Okraku has debunked the speculations of the independence of referees from the FA’s direct influence.
In address the media in Sunyani ,GFA President Kurt Okraku emphasized that referees in Ghana operate strictly within the established laws of the game and interpret them in the games but not swayed by the GFA’s decisions or influence.
This statement aims to clarify the perceived separation between the administrative body and match officials, reinforcing the principle that referees should maintain impartiality in their adjudication of matches.
The GFA President’s comments underscore a broader commitment to upholding the integrity of football officiating and to dispel any misconceptions that the FA could influence the outcome of games through its control over referees.
