Nigerian musician, Seun Kuti recently shared his thoughts on fatherhood during an interview with Timi Agbaje.
He expressed that becoming a father has been the most significant achievement in his life. Seun Kuti explained that raising his daughter has brought him immense joy.
Although he has another daughter with whom he does not share a close bond due to complex circumstances with her mother, he emphasized that being a father is the greatest accomplishment in his life.
When asked about his relationship with his daughters, Seun Kuti clarified that his relationship with the mother of his other daughter is not close. He attributed this to complicated circumstances, acknowledging that no family is perfect.
He also disclosed that he was not married when his other daughter was born, elaborating that he had only engaged in premarital sex twice before the birth of his first daughter. Seun Kuti is married to Yetunde Kuti, his former backup dancer, whom he met through his cousin.
They eventually got married in 2020 after living together and having a child. During a separate interview, the couple reminisced about their love story, noting that they had known each other for a long time before officially getting together.
