Joseph Awuku, the Communications Director for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashaiman Constituency, is urging the government to address the severe hardships Ghanaians are facing.
According to Mr. Awuku, President Akufo-Addo’s primary motivation for becoming President was to earn the title of “Former President” rather than to serve and improve the lives of citizens.
Speaking on Ahotor FM‘s morning show ‘Adekyee Mu Nsem‘ with host Nana Dogbe, Mr. Awuku criticized the government for its extensive borrowing, claiming there is little to show for it.
He pointed out that the roads across the country, particularly in the Ashaiman constituency, remain in poor condition.
Chairman Joe also highlighted the rising prices of basic food items, accusing the government of being indifferent to the struggles of ordinary Ghanaians.
He alleged that government officials are hoarding money intended for development in private storage tanks and distributing funds to friends and family members to start businesses, contributing to the country’s economic woes.
Mr. Awuku’s comments reflect the growing frustration among citizens over the perceived mismanagement and corruption within the government, which he argues are significant factors behind the current hardships in Ghana.
