Wizkid mocked Davido after the value of his meme coin dropped by 90%.
On May 30, 2024, Davido partnered with Phantom and Solana to launch his meme coin, which came as a surprise to many.
The coin gained popularity quickly after its release and its value skyrocketed, reaching 14 times its initial value as early investors made substantial profits.
However, like many meme coins, the value of Davido’s $Davido coin plummeted, dropping to less than $0.001579, marking a 90% decrease in its valuation.
Nigerians on social media have expressed their opinions on Davido’s meme coin, with some claiming it was just a quick money-making scheme.
Before the launch of his crypto coin, Davido was alleged to have promoted other coins, $RAPDOGE and $ECHOKE, both of which experienced a significant drop in value. Following the launch of Davido’s meme coin and its subsequent decrease in value, Wizkid, with whom he recently had a dispute, posted a cryptic message seemingly aimed at Davido.
Wizkid’s post on his X account reads, “Work smart so you won’t have to hustle like a fool.” This post has sparked online reactions, intensifying the feud between Davido and Wizkid.
