A political commentator Kingsford Peprah is urging the National Democratic Congress (NDC) not to underestimate President Akufo-Addo’s remarks regarding not handing over power to John Mahama.
Mr. Peprah emphasizes that, as the Commander- in- Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, the President may have valid reasons for his statements, and thus, the NDC should remain vigilant.
Earlier on, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had accused former President John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), of being bitter due to his two consecutive electoral defeats.
Akufo-Addo therefore suggests that Mahama’s past electoral losses have blinded him to the positive efforts of the NPP administration.
Addressing supporters at a mini rally in Doboro, Greater Accra region, after visiting Blue Skies Limited, Akufo-Addo urged Ghanaians not to vote for Mahama in the 2024 general elections, citing his lack of confidence in Mahama’s ability to develop the country.
Furthermore, Akufo-Addo encouraged individuals not yet registered on the electoral roll to participate in the Limited Voter Registration exercise.
During an interview on Ahotor 92.3 FM‘s midday news, Mr. Peprah urged the NDC to develop a counter strategy for a decisive victory in the upcoming 2024 polls.
