Kumasi Asante Kotoko player Nicholas Mensah was back on the pitch after spending 12 months banned in the house.
The midfielder was banned for having two identities in Ghana football. The last two weeks were the end of his ban period and he was able to return to the pitch to play for Asante Kotoko to win the Kuffour Cup played against Nsoatreman FC.
In a one-on-one conversation with the 21-year-old, he stated that he nearly gave up on football because of what he heard from outside and at times what his friends mostly told him. But all the same, he didn’t give up on his career and all thanks to coach Prosper Nartey Ogum for not giving up on him.
He concluded by saying that he was very happy to come back to the pitch again.
