Former Minister of Health, Hon Kwaku Agyemang Manu speaks on the frenzy surrounding the procurement of Sputnik V covid 19 vaccines saying, “I had done no wrong, but some people wanted to pitch me up and put wrongdoing on me”.
According to him, he was doing that in a good faith, collaborating, had meetings, and he didn’t do that transaction himself alone.
He said, no matter how he tried to explained himself to the health committee in parliament, they refused to accept his explanations.
Speaking to the media as he bows out from the health ministry, the Member of Parliament for Dormaa Central constituency indicated that, at one stage he got so down that he even requested they should charge him to court because he thought his explanation would have been accepted in court rather than in front of his own colleagues in parliament.
The legislature said up till now he still insists that he did no wrong and never can he be inciting of any wrongdoing.
“I was doing everything possible to save souls during the pandemic” he said.
