Continuous Investment is fundamental to coaches development in Ghana- GFA President laments

President of the Ghana football association ,Kurt Simeon Okraku has expressed that continuous investment and strategic decisions will be the only option to bring Ghanaian coaching to a good level.

Mr Kurt Okraku made this revelation when he reacted to the standard of coaching in Ghana and the policies instituted to improve coaching in the domestic competitions.

“Coaching Education is a very important area in our football ecosystem ,I remember in the congress in Kumasi , we spoke about our commitment to invest in these two need areas ; refereeing and coaching education, Professor Mintah will leads the coaching education campaign involving over three thousand Ghanaians who have either license D up to license B.”

“Prior to this period , the last time we had the chance to train our coaches was way back 2016/17 , so you can clearly see that we had a big gap and it will only take continuous investments in coaching to bring the level of coaching to the times of late E,K Afrane , Osam Duadu and the rest of the big boys who have departed the world”.

The capacity building program is part of the efforts by the Technical Directorate to improve the technical capacity of our coaches to come to terms with the modern trends in football.
