Its government sole responsibility to create jobs and further ensure enabling environment for private sector to grow to create jobs. The New Patriotic Party empty promises on creating 2.1million jobs in the past seven years are conflicting without any bases.
Leading to 2016 election the New Patriotic Party (NPP) policy on One Dam One Village and other policies with linkages to job creation was all over, with an expectation to create more jobs for the unemployed youth.
But then the results for the past years has give rise to the unemployment rate in Ghana as forecast to be 4.49% in 2023. While the unemployed people in Ghana is forecast to be 1.16m in 2023.
David Zekpah Risk & Resiliency Expert said this on Adekyee Mu Nsem morning show on Ahotor 92.3 FM hosted by Nana Dogbey in Accra.
He question the Vice President position on the employment figures by referring to the Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia to give us the success story of the flagship programme on The Nation Builders Corps, also known as N.A.B.C.O, on the initiative to provide jobs to unemployed post-secondary school graduates (graduates of universities, training colleges, etc.) which was introduced by the government of Ghana.
He reiterated that, the government must come again on job creation to justify the conflicting figures the government and his communication team are using to lair to the public.
Touching on the challenges confronting the enrolment of the new students into Free Senior High School; needs an attention and review to address the bottle necks which is reoccurring with the policy since its inception.
Speaking on the same platform, Abdulai Sakra Alhassan Member of the National Democratic Congress Communication Team Member said Dr. Bawumia is noted for lairs and empty political talks.
This he said looking at the conflicting figures from government’s ministers and the Vice President are throwing around begs the facts to the reality of the jobs they have created.
He opined that, Ghanaians are matured now and cannot fall into this traps they use to deceit the voting public thinking, they can play down on the policy of the 24 hour economy the flag bearer of the NDC is espousing. The NPP lacks the credibility and cannot be trusted on any issues of national concerns.
What he can say to this statement coming from the Vice President, is that, the NPP has taken Ghanaians back and there is a need for Ghanaians to vote for NDC in the next election to turn the economy around for growth and development.
Speaking to FSHS policy in respect to admission problems judging the government on their own flagship policy on education, he is of the view that, Ghana needs a new leader to rescue the country from the hands of these corrupt people.
