David Yibor to establish Health Trust Fund for Lashibi electoral area

The Lashibi District assembly candidate hopeful David Yibor has said the challenges in the electoral area need special attention such as drainage system, security and health of the people have to be addressed.

He is of the view that, with his vision for the area, he proposes to initiate a working proposal to establish a Health Trust Fund, for the electoral area to help complement the high cost of health cost for the people in the electoral area to have access to the fund in case of any emergency on health care.

David Yibor opined that health care is now expensive and there is a need to support and complement costs involved in health treatment. The District Assembly candidate hopeful discloses this on Adekye Mu Nsem’s morning show on Ahotor 92.3 FM in Accra hosted by Citizen Kofi Owusu.

He is of the view that as part of his love and concern for the people in the electoral area and as part of his maiden outreach program, he is organizing a free medical screening and blood donation at Lashibi St. James School in Accra.

He called on the general public to take the opportunity to take part in the health screening exercise and the blood donation program to save lives. He said health is very expensive and we have to take the opportunity to carry out periodic checks on our health. And call on the constituents to vote for him in the coming district assembly elections.

The blood Programme Organiser of Tema General Hospital Mr. John A. Ahdjie said it has become necessary for all of them to rise up to donate blood to save lives.

Blood is one of the commodities that we cannot buy from shops and any voluntary donation of blood is the only way to save lives. The blood bank is always in need of blood and there is a need to rise up to any public call to come out to save lives; since we have eight types of blood groups it’s always important to stock blood to be ready for any emergency to help all group members.

He cautions the public to be circumspect and not to take alcohol before blood donation and should stay off from alcohol after two days. He said it’s appropriate and healthy to eat before any blood donation exercise.
