The revelations statement coming from the two leading campaign teams leading to New Patriotic Party Presidential Primaries is getting interesting and unfolding with unbridled facts and information coming from an act of corruption and secretes which carries a lot of damage on the leadership of the government and the contenders is very worrying.
The race between the two leading contenders Assin Central Member of Hon. Parliament Kennedy Agyepong and Vice President Dr, Mahamadu Bawumia is getting heated with different lairs and unreserved comments which they denied Ghanaians for the past seven years of deception and all kinds of empty political talks devoid of truth and trust.
Dela Edem, National Communication Team Member of the National Democratic Congress said this on the Simpieso political talk show on Ahotor 92.3 in Accra and hosted by Emmanuel Martey (Alaska De Don).
He is of the view that it will be politically right if the delegates throughout the country who qualified to cast their votes on the 4th of November do the needful to elect Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia since he has nothing to bring on board as a sterling leader working as the second man of the land and head of the economic team.
The seven years in office working with President Akufo-Addo’s success story is nothing to drive home, rather severe economic hardship, corruption, nepotism, cronyism, and injustices in all our state institutions.
Dela Edem opined that it’s very bizarre and disturbing how the Office of the Special Prosecutor, politically abort the trial of the Deputy Minister of State for Ministry of Finance Charles Adu Boahen.
He said he believed there was video evidence where an act of deception and an intent to swindle. And it’s very discouraging and mind-boggling what informed the OSP to allow this case to go without due diligence to fight all these corrupt government officials, doing all these scandalous acts in the name of the state to allow go scot-free.
Touching on the port economy, he decried that taxes on the imports and high freight charges have collapsed the port, and this has given rise to the smuggling of consumable goods through inland ports and all importers are now using Togo, and Co devoir, in clearing their goods and use cargo haulage to transport the goods into country. Comparatively, the cost of doing business within the sub-region is now cheaper than using Ghana ports for clearing imported goods.
He called on the Ghanaians to make a good choice to elect John Dramani Mahama to come and correct the burden of mismanagement and incompetent leadership we have been through for the past seven years.
