Kotoko midfielder urged the supporters to rally behind the team to secure their first victory.
Asante Kotoko midfielder, Richmond Lamptey has appealled to the fans to still rally behind the team as they are yet to secure a win in the Betpawa Premier League this season.
In an interview after their draw game against Karela United, Richmond Lamptey maintains his optimism that the team will clinch a victory in their next game as they meet with Ibrahim Tanko’s Accra lions .
“As a player for Asante Kotoko, I know a defeat is not a good thing for the club, We are in difficult moment but I will urge the supporters to keep supporting us and I know we will never disgrace them. They should expect a win against Accra Lions.”
Richmond Lamptey who recently returned from injury acknowledged the poor start of the team , Nevertheless, he urged the fans to continue supporting the team.
The Porcupines have yet to secure a win in their first three matches of the Ghana Premier League.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko recent game ended in a 1-1 draw against Karela United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
