(Audio) Executive interference in public service not acceptable- CPP Gen Sec

General Secretary of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), Nana Yaa Jantoah has said the executive arm of government should take its hand out of the public service.
According to her, there is always an orchestration to get you out of office if you are not in cahoots in with them. It is unfortunate that any public servant who has been allowed by law to do his work will fill that he is threatened because of political interference.
In her comment, that is not acceptable.
The Supreme Court in a unanimous decision declared as unconstitutional the directive from the Presidency that asked former Auditor General Daniel Yao Domelevo to proceed on leave.
The Supreme Court has ruled that President Nana Addo’s appointment of an Acting Auditor-General was unconstitutional.
The apex court gave the ruling on Wednesday, May 31.
Speaking in an interview monitored by Onokwafo Yaw Asiedu of Ahotor FM, the CPP general secretary said she believes using Mr. Domelevo as an example, the executive should take their hand off even the public service though they are the appointment authority because it’s becoming too much.
Once the person is put into office to do a job then so shall it be, she added.
