The Young Ghanaian Tactician Umar Rabi has left his job as head coach of the Tarkwa-based Premier League outfit.
Head coach of Medeama Sporting Club Umar Rabi has tendered his resignation letter to quit his role at the club after picking a point on the road to Tamale City in the Ghana Premier League week 19.
Abdul Rabi, a 37-year-old tactician re-joined the club after ending a 10-year stint at the famous Right to Dream Academy in 2021 to take the role of first-team assistant coach.
The talented Coach took charge of the Mauves and Yellows early last season heading to week 4 from Ignatius Osei-Fosu, who had just been sacked after their third fixture of the campaign against Eleven Wonders.
The Yellow and Mauves fought back to secure a vital point at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
The home team shot into the lead through Mohammed Mankuyeli before Derrick Fordjour restored parity for the visitors.
Umar Rabi guided Medeama SC to the second position on the league log after the season with 56 points, having leapfrogged Bechem United who had been in that position for almost all season.
The club then appointed him as the permanent head coach of the team looking at his exploits at the end of the season.
Medeama SC will name a new coach in the coming days.
