The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Tema Region has taken to appreciate the media and the various security institutions for helping them resolve the misunderstanding which existed between them and a portion of kroboland.
The people of the Kroboland somewhere last year clashed with the Electricity Company of Ghana over prepaid meters which resulted in some portion of the area experiencing total darkness for two weeks.
This brought some tension such that the ECG had to move their office from krobo to Juapong, leaving the kroboland.
Speaking on Ahotor 92.3 Fm with Ahma Baidoo on Yendwuma on Saturday 18th February 2023, the Public Relations Officer for Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) Tema region, Madam Sakyiwaa Mensah said,
“Currently, we have resolved the issue completely, infact we have no outstanding issues or what so ever, we have even taken the office back from Juapong to Krobo and we have staff working there in peace”.
“There is calm between ECG and kroboland now let me use this platform to say thank you to the media, the Ghana Police Service, the Military Service, the Chiefs , Ministry of Energy and all who came through for us during those difficult moments, we are very grateful and to all whom we could not attend to on calls and explain to we are sorry” She told Ahma Baidoo.
The Tema region of ECG covers, Afienya ,Nungua,Ashaiman,Tema, Manya and Yilo krobo a portion of Ada and Prampram.
