FIFA has recognized Football Kenya Federation the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) is expected to start on 12th of November 2022.
This follows series of negotiations with the Kenyan government and FIFA. The Kenyan federation had been suspended by FIFA since it’s president, Oga Nick Mwemdwa was alleged of involving in corruptional activities at the federation and was henceforth relieved of his post by the Kenyan Sport Ministry.
However, after he was found not guilty of said allegations, and with the help of his personal friend and FIFA secretary general, Fatma Samba Diouf Samoura who sent delegation to meet the Kenyan government and the FKF’s executive to settle things out, he’s is expected to retain his post and get the league back running.
