My second album was dedicated to my late mother – Noble Nketsiah

Ghanaian veteran gospel musician, Noble Nketsiah revealed on Ahotor FM’s mid-morning show that his second album was dedicated to his late mum who died when he was young.

According to him, his 2nd album, ‘‘ GYE ME’ in 2003’ was inspired by his mother’s death which caused him so much pain because he was so young and he has just started doing music. Although the initial title was “SAVIOUR” it has to be changed because the death happened during the recording process.

He added ‘’ I released my second album in 2003 and signed to Wayoosi Music just before  I lost my mom, whiles I was recording my second album, I lost my mum before we released that album so it took some time to release those songs, that’s ” GYE ME”  

He was asked by Obaapa Janee if his mother’s death contributed to his second album titled and he said, ‘’ Yes, it was very devastating for me because I was young, 23 years that time, with two sisters, and looking at that time I wasn’t prepared for that, it wasn’t equipped in life and the fact that my mother has suffered and at the time she was supposed to enjoy the fruit of her womb’’.

‘’so the suffering and everything I went through made me record that album and I had a song on that album that I wrote for my mother and purposely dedicated to my mother which was inspired by her death.’’

Although he enjoyed singing but didn’t have the idea of going to the studio to record Morris baby face heard him singing and suggested that they go to the studio so they started recording helped but later someone came forward to Morris that he needed a gospel musician to promote so that gave him the first exposure in the music industry.

Speaking on Ahotor 92.3 FM mid-morning show in Accra, said he was just singing in church but didn’t have any idea of going to the studio because he was just enjoying my singing nut not to record.

However, he agreed that he has been attacked spiritually before but said is all part of the game but God keeps him going.

He added that music is spiritual and the kind of music he does is to inspire people and give hope to those who are hopeless in life.

He just released his EP titled “The Christ” which he is promoting now.

Noble will be celebrating his 22 years as a gospel musician next year in January, he started his music career in 2001s till now with 64 songs and still counting.
