Ghanaian top musician, Nana Yaw Oduro, also known as Trigmatic has revealed how he got Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, and others to be on his songs.
Speaking on Ahotor 92.3 FM’s mid-morning show, ‘Ahotor mmre’ today 7th October 2022, when he was asked by the host if it was difficult getting those big boys to collaborate with him.
He said: “it was not difficult for me because I had a relationship with them, and have served the industry for some time. And Tinny also at that time helped me a lot being his boy.”
“I worked with some executive Producers, roaming from one studio to another, worked as a presenter at Y FM, as a producer at vibe FM, write stories for Sparks Magazine, and serves as a sales guy for three years. And I met a lot of people those days, the big guys, and for me; it also depends on the approach we normally use to get in touch with people.”
He believes that when the right approach is used, you will get the people you want to collaborate with.
He also talked about his Matic Music Club which influences the younger ones coming and helps them to identify their talents.
“During those moments I met my first employer and he gave me work at Vibe FM and that’s was when I also started making it.”
He added that Black Sherif‘s new album is solid, especially the “soja” song.
He urges the media space as a whole to do the right things, follow structures and make sure we work towards the goal of the media but not individually.
