MP for Yapei Kusawgu constituency of the Northern region Hon John Abdulai Jinapor has openly declared that the NDC has become very attractive at the moment and is not surprising that there is mass rush for membership registration as part of the membership drive initiative of the Party.
The MP during a phone interview on Ahotor Fm 92.3 breakfast show on Friday with host Citizen Kofi Owusu stated that it gladdens him to see more people coming into the party at a time when the NPP administration has mismanaged the country.
He explained that the Party has gone through series processes to get this far. He acknowledged the selflessness of all the leaders in the party especially the national leadership for putting in place measures to brand the NDC into winning ways ahead of the 2024 General Elections.
Mr. Jinapor who served as energy minister during former President John Mahama’s administration said the NDC is forming the next government due the proven track record that the Party left in government to wit the current government has abysmally destroyed everything.
The NDC lawmaker further added that recent pronouncement by the National chairman of the party Hon Samuel Ofous Ampofo that the NDC is building itself as an election winning machinery is very positive and sound very encouraging.
The ranking member on the Mines and Energy Committee reviewed previous happenings in the NDC which prevented the party from becoming attractive and hinted that protocols are in place per the arrangements by the hierarchy of the party.
The lawmaker lauded what he termed as pragmatic moves by the leadership of the NDC to ensure the party becomes very active and a vehicle which is worthy to compete any electoral contest in the country.
The MP chastised the President Akufo Addo for mismanaging the state of affairs and also downgrading the economy below the poverty line where ordinary citizens have become very confused and do not know what the future has for them.
The NDC is currently going through preparations to undertake its internal elections ahead of the major polls in 2024.
Mr. Jinapor highlighted that many people in his constituency are contesting for various positions in the party and to contribute their quota to the nation. And to him that is a sign of positive demonstration of a secured future for the party.
Mr. Abdullah Jinapor reiterated that, the NDC will ensure that Ghanaians go to the polls and vote against the incompetent NPP and President Akufo Addo’s government in the next Elections.
