The minority in parliament has called on Ghana Cocoa Board to ensure the well-being of it cocoa farmers to enhance more growth and production of cocoa instead of keeping the monies at the offices.
According to the minority there is money for farmers at the cocoa board but they are keeping it in the office whilst farmers go through hardships.
“Cocoa is not grown in the office but the farms so do not keep the money in the office give it to the farmers’’ they said.
They also cushioned the Ghana cocoa board to take steps to ensure they incur profit than loses.
According to the ranking member on parliaments committee for agriculture and food Hon Eric Opoku said the Ghana cocoa board have been recording only loses from 2017 to date.
