German third-tier club FC Wurzburger Kickers has been fined after fans racially abused Ghanaian player John Yeboah.
The 21-year-old forward who plies his trade for MSV Duisburg was racially abused when his side suffered a 2-1 defeat to Wurzburger Kickers in mid-February.
However, the German Football Association (DFB) has fined Wurzburger Kickers 3,000 euros for the unsporting behaviour by the home fans.
Aftermath of the incident, Wurzburger Kickers distanced itself from the corresponding behaviour and apologized.
But the apology was not enough with the German Football hierarchy inflicting a fine on the club.
Yeboah joined MSV Duisburg on loan until the end of the season from Dutch side Willem II during the January transfer window.
The enterprising forward has featured 14 times so far.
