French Ligue 1 side FC Metz will construct 6 stadiums as a tribute to the 6 Senegalese AFCON 2021 champions groomed by their partner Generation Foot.
They will be named after Sadio Mane, captain Kalidou Koulibaly, Ismaila Sarr, Bouna Sarr, Pape Matar Sarr and Habib Diallo.
The Football Academy under Senegalese former footballer Mady Toure partnered with FC Metz in 2003 after failing to sign a deal with AS Nancy in 2000.
Sadio Mane, Kalidou Koulibaly, Ismaila Sarr, Bouna Sarr, Pape Matar Sarr and Habib Diallo all played for FC Metz before moving on to various European clubs.
All the six stars were also nurtured and groomed by Génération Foot. In 2020 the Academy penned down a new 10 year deal with the French side.
The partnership ensures Metz can sign the best of talents from Génération Foot in return the French-based club supports the academy with both equipment and financial aid.
