Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has said that his team lost to Morocco due to bad luck on their side.
The Serbian trainer claims that the Atlas Lions are one of the favourites of the competition, they were not the better side on the day and only won because they were lucky on the day.”
“It was a tough match and we were expecting that because Morocco is one of the best teams on the continent and it was also the opening match of the group,” the 2010 Afcon final coach said after the game.
“We did not take our chances in the game and I think the Moroccans were lucky in the end. We were expecting the game to end in a draw.”
“I want to congratulate the Moroccans on their win and my boys for fighting really hard. We have two matches left in the group so we have to concentrate on them so we can progress to the next stage.”
The Black Stars lost by a lone goal to Morocco on Monday in the ongoing AFCON in Cameroon.
Ghana takes on Gabon on January 14 in the second group game before facing Comoros in their final Group C tie.
