Today, the rate of Ghana’s unemployment is in the full glare of the public as a number of unemployed and underemployed Ghanaian youth have thronged various recruitment centers to be enlisted into Fire and Immigration service.
The worrying figures across the country has left a number of persons in a state of shock as it tells the rate of unemployment in the country.
For Koforidua Sec Tech where prospective Immigration officers have been asked to show up for the recruitment process, as of 5:00am, the queues were choked with the numbers causing traffic on the campus of the school.
One candidate who spoke to this website said ” I have lost hope especially because I don’t have anybody who will help me. Look at this number here and the same can be said about other regions so if you don’t have protocol I don’t think you’ll get in there”.
Meanwhile, regardless of the huge numbers, the government of Ghana gave clearance for 5,000 recruits for the various Security Services in the country.
