Residents of Nkrukan in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern region have been using a death toilet over decade now.
However, the dilapidated toilet which is situated at the Nkrukan cemetery serves half of inhabitants in the Town.
The toilet facility have cracks in them, doors are broken down, the foundation has deep crack with the possibility of collapsing anytime soon if necessary measures are not taken as soon as possible.
The place has also been used as a public waste site where residents dump their refuse they gather from their homes.
A resident, Enock Ayertey Amanor who spoke to Ahotor fm correspondent, Nenebi David Ayertey is calling on the government and Authorities of the Yilo krobo Municipal Assembly to intervene and fix the toilet facility as soon possible.
An opinion leader in the area, Adamu Ibrahim said the facility was built 20 years ago and it has been left without tackling the challenges that it has developed.
The situation of the facility prevents some residents who take to open defecation.
They are therefore pleading with the MCE of Yilo Krobo to come to their aid.
