The member of Parliament for Ho Central Hon Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzra has counseled people from the Volta region but living in Accra or elsewhere in the country to remain there and actively take part in the EC’s upcoming new voters registeration exercise without bothering to travel home.
Speaking of a newly introduced afternoon political show on Ahotorfm 92.3 dubbed Simpieso, he admonished his compatriots to remain calm in the face of various frustrations the Akuffo Addo led government is putting in place to prevent Voltarians from registering.
He also expressed his dissatisfaction about the recent supreme court ruling in the case brought before the court by the opposition NDC challenging the EC’s decision to exclude the current voters id as source document for verification in the upcoming registeration exercise.
According to him, these frustrations should motivate Ghanaians to vote massively against the Akuffo Addo’s led administration and help restore sanity in our governance system and indicated the NDC’s readiness to get its people to register and vote massively against what many see as a repressive regime under Akuffo Addo.
” Votarians in Accra or anywhere in the country shouldn’t bother to travel back home to register, we will mobilise those in the region to register and the rest should also register wherever they are and help kick Akuffo Addo and his mp’s out.”
He also spoke on the deployment of military personnel into the region to harass and prevent people from coming out to register under the guise of COVID19 management.
