Timetable for Ghanaian final year students out soon -WAEC

The West Africa Examination Council says it is consulting with other member country on a possible time table for final year student of senior high school.

The West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination WASSCE was suspended across Anglophone West Africa due to the trait of COVID-19.

Speaking on Ahotor news on the subject, Head of Public Affairs of WAEC ,Agnes Teye Cudjoe said if they are unable to reach an agreement with other members states, they will publish a timetable for Ghanaians final year students.

She then said WEAC will be conducting examination for Candidate who will be taking the WASSCE and BECE examination.

As at now, Agnes Teye said they are still in discussion as to whether the neighboring countries will join ,if not Ghana will go ahead to conduct the West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination for their students.

Adding , that, the Basic Education Certificate Examination BECE is a national examination, so there is no problem with it because it is Ghana only based examination.

She disclosed that, the timetable is at a preparation stage and will be informed accordingly when it is ready as early as possible when done.
