BREAKING NEWS: George Afriyie sacked as GFA Vice-President

Ghana Football Association has announced that George Afriyie has been sacked from his duties as Vice-President of the governing body with immediate effect.

The decision was arrived upon following a meeting of the Executive Committee on Tuesday.

Afriyie had occupied the position by appointment since 2015.

A statement on the FA’s twitter page reads:

“Mr George Afriyie has been released of his duties as the Vice President of the @ghanafaofficial following a meeting of the Executive Commitee. A new Vice President will be announced soon”
