Swansea City set to re-sign Ghana star Andre Ayew today – Report
Swansea City are pushing to re-sign Andre Ayew from West Ham on January transfer deadline day.
The Telegraph is reporting the Swans are still keen on bringing their former star to the Liberty stadium following his struggles since joining the Hammers.
Swansea will pay a fee of £18 million for the services of the Ghana international, breaking their transfer record in the process.
West Ham rejected an initial bid of £14 million for the forward but the Welsh have returned with an improved offer which has been accepted, it has been claimed.
Ayew, 28, signed for Swansea from Marseille back in the summer of 2015, and earned a move to West Ham just a year later after hitting 12 goals in 34 games for the Swans.
The Ghanaian was seen as a major signing for West Ham, but he scored just six times last season, and with only nine Premier League starts this season, he has recorded just two Premier League goals this term.
